Vanessa Davis
I retired as a Practitioner Psychologist/Family Therapist in 2011 after a long rewarding career with the National Health Service in UK and relocated in Salt Lake City.
Through my personal experiences of supporting family members and friends through the dying process I found myself drawn to the work of being a companion to individuals and their loved ones as they surrender to the inevitable end of life transition.
My work as a HELD trained end of life Doula has included assisting the transition from hospital to home hospice, working on compiling “legacy” items, supporting children/teens throughout the process of losing a loved one, supporting families and being a secure and peaceful presence during the final stages of transition.
I hold no religious affiliation which frees me to support you and your loved ones to embrace whatever spiritual path you may (or may not) have chosen, and I would welcome the opportunity to do this. I meditate and “journey” for myself using shamanic practices that I have acquired over the years and I am happy to share these approaches if requested.
“Vanessa was a great comfort from the first moment I met her to the last moment. She brought comfort to my husband (as he passed over) and to my children. Vanessa has a warm and peaceful way about her and displays love to us who needed it. Thank you God for sending us an Angel.”
